what do you need?- A good primer (I used painterly paint pot) - Some good brushes: blender, crease brush and normal eyelid brush - the MAC cold neutrals palette OR the following shades: FRENCH CLAY - CUMULUS - PEARLED EARTH - BLACK TIED step 1Start with applying your primer. I always use the MAC paint pot as primer, because it really keeps your eyeshadow into place all night! I apply my primer with my finger, just spread it over your eyelids. STEP 2Use your first colour, French Clay for the base on your eyelids. STEP 3Use the second colour, Cumulus, to accent your crease. So only apply it on your crease with a normal brush and blend it afterwards. STEP 4The third colour, Pearled Earth, will be put on halfway your crease and going to the corner of your eye, where you can already start making a little "wing". STEP 5The last colour, Black Tied, is our finishing colour, applied in the corner and finishing the wing. You can also apply a bit of your first colour, French Clay in the inner corner of your eyes. step 6Blend all the colours with a good blending brush for a good overall look. STEP 7Apply your eyeliner, eye pencil under your eyes and mascara. step 8Finish off with a good setting spray. I used the All Nighter by Urban Decay.

Paint potsPaint pots are the perfect primer to add on your eyelid and even crease before applying your eyeshadow. It's amazing how long your eyeshadow lasts when you add this primer first! Couldn't live without this anymore! I use the Painterly (on top) as my daily base primer and the Bare Study (underneath the Painterly) When I go out. I can add this onto my crease and it gives an immediate glow effect! EyeshadowsMAC Eyeshadows are my favorite. I really tried a lot of brands like Dior, Chanel, Urban Decay, Catrice, Clinique and so on. This one is still my favorite because it lasts the longest. A lot of eyeshadows lose glitter while applying them, but with the MAC eyeshadow I don't have this problem. BrushesAs I already told on my beauty page, I love the MAC brushes! Before I bought them, I always used eyeshadow brushes from Hema. They were good, but you can't compare them to the brushes of MAC, they're just heaven! Prep + prime & FoundationThe prep + prime is a very easy primer base you apply before you put on your foundation or powder. It's thin, it rubs in very easily and it keeps your makeup into place. I love the mineralize foundation because it isn't thick and it doens't feel like you're wearing a mask of makeup. With my MAC foundation brush, I can egalise it even thinner so it really doens't look like i'm wearing a lot of makeup. The pro longwear foundation from MAC is also very good. I think it gives a more natural and less shiny look than the Mineralize foundation. Powder & BlushThe natural skinfinish powder is very good if you have shiny skin. I always use it after applying my foundation or even just on a good primer without foundation for a more natural look. I always combine it with a good blush, which is also very good from MAC Cosmetics! LipstickI am in love with the matte lipsticks from MAC! They stay for about 4 hours and they give such a pretty look! I also have a more shiny one, "Morange", which is also very good :) You can read more about it in an earlier post. Favorite musthaves!!- Pro longwear foundation: Looks more natural than the mineralize foundation. It doesn't look like you're wearing foundation. I don't apply it with the sponge, I use my foundation brush for an even more natural look. - Pro longwear concealer: Oh my, this is heaven! A lot of concealers make your acne look like a big breakout even more! This one is so hydrating and covering all in one. Bye bye acne or dark spots :) - Prep + prime highlighter: I use this one on my dark circles under my eyes. I only apply it on the circle itself, not on my whole "eye bag". It's a peach kind of colour, so it gets rid of the dark colour very well! Products I don't use or don't like:I always keep on trying out other products to see if there's something better :)
Actually, I like most of their products! There's just a few of them I don't use or don't dare to use: - their mascara, because I think mine is still the best haha! (Lancôme Doll Eyes) - their make up finishing spray, I still prefer the Urban Decay All Nighter... - their skincare, because I have acne prone skin and I just don't dare to use them :) |
